Master Bill Hackett
Our chief instructor
Bill Hackett, fifth
degree master in Kempo black belt and third degree Kung Fu
black belt, coordinates our training programs, teaches
classes, manages our instructional team and directs the
day-to-day activities at our Center, ensuring that each and
every student receives the very best training. He also
coordinates and leads instructor training in Shaolin Kung Fu
here and throughout CT, on behalf of Grandmaster Tak.

Grandmaster Tak Wah Eng
Grandmaster Tak’s training in Kung Fu has spanned three
decades and two continents, as a teen in China and to
this day in N.Y.
He
has mastered both Southern Shaolin style and Northern
Long Fist. Combining these skills, he has achieved a
rare feat in the creation of a unique Southern Fist
form. He has been the personal trainer to such actors as
Russell Wong and E.R.’s Ming Na Wen and was the
technical advisor on Jet Li’s “Romeo Must Die”.

Richard Dandanell
Richard’s
expertise and ability to impart his knowledge of
Tai Chi and Chi Gong are exceptional. He has taught
martial arts throughout CT for over 15 years and trained at
The American Center for Chinese Studies as well as The Hall
of the Dragon and Tiger in New York. Richard has studied a
variety of styles and brings the depth of his experience to
our Kempo and Shaolin Kung Fu classes as well.

Master Brian Hanson
Master Brian Hanson holds an ninth degree black
belt in Kempo Karate. He has studied various martial arts
for over twenty-five years and has traveled to the Shaolin
Temple in China for training. He currently provides
instruction and evaluation for our certified black belt
instructors and performs belt advancement testing throughout
CT and NY.

Phyllis Wasko
A
second degree black belt in Kempo, a first degree black belt
in Kung Fu, and a certified
Personal Defense Readiness Instructor, Phyllis designs
and implements class curricula which focus on practical
self-defense issues. From improving day-to-day awareness in
our young students to coaching PDR scenario training for
women, her priority is safety preparedness.

Joe
Mullings
Joe Mullings holds rank in several styles of Martial Arts
and has been certified by
Tony Blauer as a Blauer Tactical Management Systems PDR instructor. Joe
has taught domestically and internationally for twenty years
and currently teaches practical self-defense techniques to a
range of professionals including law enforcement, personal
security specialists and military personnel.
